I was reading the postings about an NY station that was dropping one of its simpsons episodes, and it made me think about something. For some reason the local channels seem to think that Simpsons should be shown in the late afternoon early evening hours. To me the cartoon has always been more of a late night cartoon. Not for content or anything, just because it is something that I, for one always want to watch around 10 pm or so. it is a pain to rush home and watch it at 530 and 6! Anyone else feel this way?

Sky One usually show 2 episodes from 7pm, but just recently they've added a late episode at 11pm.

BTW, in case you want to move, they show the Simpsons in the later hours in Buffalo, home of my parents.

You could use a contraption called a VCR (or TiVo if you're lucky). That way you don't have to rush home AND you could watch it whenever you wanted. It's a modern miracle.

I always thought the Simpsons were ideal in the 6PM to 8PM timeslots. WNYW here in NYC experimented with the Simpsons at 11:00, but it was continuosly beaten by WPIX's "Seinfeld" reruns, which now run on FOX after the Simpsons at 7:30 PM.

Personally, I'd watch the Simpsons whenever they were on.
