Pay per axel joke already done.

Lenny's "pay $20 per axel" bit was already done years ago when Homer tried the same thing with his front lawn parking lot. Other than that, last night's episode was devoid of anything memorable or even smile educing. So far this season is 0/2 for me. I'm a big fan, not one to push the "they should hang it up" buttons often... but man, last night's show was... I hate to say it... among the worst episodes ever. Derivative and boring.

The odd thing is that it had elements that seemed new. It seemed like there was more dream/imagination sequence to it than usual. It also seemed more like a Halloween episode.

Funny, I thought "Treehouse of Horror" as well. Whenever I see episodes like the one last night, I think "If somebody who'd never seen the show, but had heard me talk about how much I loved it, was sitting beside me watching this... I'd be really embarrassed."

Lots of people don't watch crappy TV. I never saw an episode of Frasier, Cheers, Seinfeld, Everybody Loves Raymond, or Friends. But I have seen all the vintage high quality episodes of OFF ("In other news, Henry Kissinger was injured ..."). And some of the crappy ones, too ("PRISON RODEO").

He did new CDs like "The Tension and The Spark," sold less but were much more critically acclaimed.
