Ok, this episode was a mixed bag. The gag based humor was pretty good, but is it just me or is it starting to become cliched? While I enjoyed the political humor the plot was not very unique, and in fact, the Lisa-Homer conflict (which is not a unique conflict...) wrapped up too quickly. It seemed that the focus of the election plot was on the campaign and not the actual job of mayor which was good move in my opinion, we've already seen Homer "crash and burn" in political office before, no need to see it again. Overall I give this a solid B.
