Man I am so sick and tired of The Simpsons these days ever since about '97 or '98 it's just been horrible and has been getting worse and worse with the course of time. Since most of the episodes that Conan O'Brien produced was great, let's get Conan back into producing part-time for The Simpsons.

Why Conan? Because he has a talk show? Tell me, when Conan was on the show (amusingly, while it was declining in quality, in the later fourth and early fifth season) were you saying things like "Man, that Conan O'Brien's a genius" and "wow, Conan O'Brien sure knows how to make a TV show"? Or had you never even taken notice of his name until he got a talk show?
The first post on alt.tv.simpsons that ever concerned Conan O'Brien was "who is the new Late Night host? He's supposed to be a Simpsons producer". That's how significant he is. When Conan was on board, the show was being run by Al Jean & Mike Reiss, they made far more of a contribution to these "great" episodes. And Al Jean is currently running the show now. So really, you've got what you wanted. You just don't know it.
And even if you wanted to bring back an individual writer (which doesn't have much effect, see David Stern in season 10) there are people far more deserving of it than Conan O'Brien, who wrote one great episode (New Kid On The Block), one good episode (Marge vs The Monorail) and one horrible episode (Homer Goes To College). People like Jeff Martin, Kogen & Wolodarsky, or Sam Simon. Oh, but, I forgot. They don't have a popular talk show. Damn.
Matt Groening has labeled posts which refer to Conan O'Brien leaving the show being responsible for its decline as "one of the most annoying nut posts on the internet."
