300/302 anomaly

Maybe I missed this, but why are they considering "Barting Over" to be the 300th episode when there were actually 302 episodes?

I don't know, you're the very first person to point this out on usenet. There has not been a single other person to post that question to either this or any other newgroup, anywhere. Since there is not any mention of it anywhere at all EVER, I'm going to have to assume it's a myth and the Simpsons never even did air 300 episodes but rather FOX has been airing exerpts of the new hit animated reality show, Joe Heterosexual (not to be confused with Joe Non-Domestic-Abuser, Joe Clean-and-Sober or even Joe Large-Penis)...

ah beautiful sarcasm. The fact is there were 2 holiday specials that Fox does not consider normal episodes, the producers of the show do, and there ya have it.

Pardon my ignorance (I'm not the type that memorizes production codes), but which were these exactly? I'm guessing one of them was "Simpsons Roasting on an Open Fire" but what would the other one be?
