There will be no ISP bigotry on my watch. You know, there are some intelligent people who actually know what they are doing who choose AOL for whatever reason. I'm not one of them...but there are some.

"Bigotry," yes. That'll do nicely for the sought-after term. Seems pretty weak to me to hold one's choice of ISP (which sometimes isn't a choice after all) against a person, instead of debating facts or opinions.
Actually, that used to be me, but then I built my own mail, dns, web and ftp server and really would prefer to keep the $19.95/month...
But I am sure I was not the only one.

Hell it's $24.95 a month now. I used AOL back in 94-95, before it had millions and millions of users and you got buys signals and it started to suck and before there was an abundance of ISPs to choose from. AOL users get a lot of criticism because a lot of them use it because it's easy and they don't really understand a lot about computers or the internet and they don't care to. AOL makes the internet easily accessible to lots of people without them having to understand a bunch of stuff...that's what technology is supposed to do. Also, AOL does have a lot of it's own content which is what most of the people I know who continue to use it like and to them it it's worth spending a little more than they would with another ISP.
