"Why I Never!"

What is the name of that rich old lady that's said "Why I Never!" She's been in a few episodes. Is she a new addition to Springfield?

Like many characters on The Simpsons, the "I Never" lady is simply that, The "I Never" Lady. However, we do know that she somehow has a relationship with Mr. Burns, as seen in "Burns, Baby Burns" when she talks to him at a dinner party.

I'm sure her name will be revealed eventually though. It happened to Roy, aka, cynical middle-aged man.

Roy was the name of the guy that appeared in the Poochie episode. Roy was supposed to be a satire of new people that we have never seen or heard of before that just out of the blue are on an episode.

Simpsons sound editor Bob Beecher revealed on alt.tv.simpsons recently: "He doesn't have one name. His character's name always fits the scene so he's gone by many names, 'Clerk', 'Shopkeeper', etc. But in the script the direction given to the voice is 'Wiseguy Voice'. So call him 'Wiseguy' if you want."

Oh, I didn't mean Gil. Its pretty obvious he has a name.

I could've sworn in one of the later episodes someone called him "Roy" or "Ray" or something... he was wisecracking at something and his supervisor (?) I believe said something to the sort of, "Can it, Ray."

I just can't recall what his name was.

I call him "Chuck" because he sounds like sorta like Charles Bronson.

What's the name of the "Why I Never" lady? What's the name of the "YEESS" man? What's the name of that guy who has a moustache that is always working at places; is that who you all are referring to as Wiseguy?

Sideshow Bob clearly refers to him as Raphael in one episode when he's living in the storage facility.
