REVIEW: A-minus - this episode was, well, how should I put this, it
        has been a while since I've used the term..."funny".  Well,
        at least until the copout ending with Bart and Lisa saving
        Homer and Marge from falling over Niagara Falls - wait a
        minute, they DID go over the falls (and didn't fall into a net
        or something equally stupid - okay, they survived, but they
        didn't play the "we would have died for sure except" card.

REFERENCES 8F10 (pregnant Marge in a wedding dress) 1F13 (Marge mentions the time Homer was in space) "Love Story" (the movie) "Winnie the Pooh" ("E-more"/Eeyore) "Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy" (played on Grandpa's radio)

GOOFS / FREEZE FRAME / WHATNOT In some scenes, the school bus had two persons per seat (except for Lisa); in others, all seats had one person.

Homer's TV is too cheap to have picture-in-picture.

Considering that both Princess Grace of Monaco and Diana, Princess of Wales died from injuries resulting from car accidents, Marge saying that she feels like the two of them "smashed together" is not in the best of taste.

Ned and Rod's cards have the same number, yet they have different bills (unless one is just a copy of the other).

The credit cards have dates of 1/1 to 12/31, but no years, so there's no way of knowing when they expire.

LIP SYNC In the scene where Marge is packing, it looks like she's saying something other than "Uncle Tyrone". (However, in an earlier scene, she does say that name, so it wasn't a last-minute name change.)

By that token, credit cards don't normally have the day of expiration. It's usually expressed as month/year. I interpreted Ned's card as being valid between January, 2001 and December 2031.

Was that a reference to when a man playing Pluto was run over and killed at Disneyworld a few moths back?

As someone else pointed out, he isn't necessarily Homer's literal uncle. He's definitely on the Simpson side of the family, though (Dr. Simpson and a few of the other members of the extended family from "Lisa the Simpson" were there), so it leaves open the question as to why Grampa wasn't going to see his relative, brother or otherwise.
