SNPP Crow

Here's something random that's been bugging me for a while...

What is the significance of the crow noise every time an exterior view of the SNPP is shown?

Personally I never realized that til I heard it in one of the commentaries on the Season 1 DVDs. They don't really give an explanation about it though.

According to the discussion on the commentary track of the Season 1 DVD's, they just liked it and it became traditional. Funny, I never noticed it until they mentioned it, and now I always notice it.

Yeah I heard it mentioned on there...I guess I should've mentioned that. It seemed weird that they'd do it just because, so I thought it might've been a gag thrown in by a guy that wasn't there to give commentary for some reason. Hmmm...

i've been thinking about that lately too. it's not _every_ time, but i'd venture to say a good 90% of the time they show an outside shot of the SNPP, there's a crow call. it's a little too early for me to have suggestions - i've only had a 1/2 cup of coffee.
