"Little Big Girl" is one of the best of the Lisa-centric episodes. It has lots of funny bits and an interesting storyline. I especially like Homer's semi-intelligent outbursts while sleeping at the beginning of the show, and Bart's display of the ages-old "Indian Butter Trick". Cletus, also, is always a delight, of course.
It is fun to watch Lisa put her charade over on the populace, and even more fun to watch her get deeper and deeper into trouble, and the topper is her shame and comeuppance upon having to reveal she lied.
After the wonderful extinguisher-rocket through the Flammable District scene, Bart's B-story is not quite as much fun to watch. I've never really enjoyed any of the Bart-in-love stories. He's only 10, right? He should be avoiding girl cooties like his life depended on it. Natalie Portman's voice performance is without flair or any kind of memorable effect. Also, teenage pregnancy is not a topic for family shows like The Simpsons. It should only be dealt with in Adult programming that airs after 1:00 AM, when most normal people are asleep in bed.
On the whole I give "Little Big Girl" a grade of B. Not quite perfect but still enjoyable enough to watch whenever it's on.
