In which episode does Troy make his first appearance, nad what does he do? Like, what show is he in?
Serious answers only, please. Please do not quote from the episode and then not say what episode it is. Then somebody else posts a reply quote and it keeps going and pretty soon the whole episode script is posted but nobody says what episode it is. Do not say that Troy is the best/worst character then not say what episode it is. Do not say that this is the best/wordst episode ever and then not say what stupid episode it is. I know that it is not Baker Street. Please do not say that Troy does not have an episode in which he makes a first appearance, because of a wizard. Please, no need to correct my spelling, or if you must correct my spelling, tell me what episode it is. I am NOT drunk and full of pie. I just need the answer please, which episode is it?
Oops. Looks like I'm the one drunk and full of pie. 7F13 "Homer vs. Lisa and the 8th Commandment" is the right answer.
Homer gets excited about the "program length advertisement" with Troy, and Dr. Nick. It's about the product that cleans, and straightens your teeth. During this, Lisa visualizes the house turning into Hell.
Don't be so bossy. If you got all the information that you say you don't want you could be self sufficient enough to use it to search for the title of the episode yourself...but why bother when someone else can do the work for you, right?
Kevin p.s. I don't know what episode it is but I still didn't violate any of your rules.
Actually, I much prefer to be bossy. I have found it gets me what I want as fast as possible. And that is what is important, therevenge getting what he wants. (If you disagree, I say PROVE IT)
Well, I'm certainly not going to argue with that because you got an answer rather fast...but I suspect only because The Rack wanted to reply to you so you would be called "drunk and full of pie" as you said you weren't. Generally though if you are patient someone who has the exact information will give it to you, but plenty of people with partial info will give you that as well just trying to be helpful. And you have obviously been around long enough to know that all threads here eventually generate into something completely different than the original post.
Well... more precisely my dear friend Kevin I mean life in general rather than simply on Usenet. The more pushy and rude I am, the more I swear, the more eager people are to please me. (Doesn't sound like it would work, but strangely enough it does.) Try it sometime. Next time a clerk is being difficult with you, just start yelling and soon you will get what you want. Works with family, Usenet, co-workers, just about anyone.
People know that at heart I am a nice guy, polite and all, and people like The Rack are eager to please. Being rude just helps the answer come faster.
SIMPSONS CONTENT OF POST: Homer occasionally manifests this philosophy.
Well, I don't know about anyone else, but if you're an asshole to me, I might help you once, but you end up burning more bridges that way. I'd reather be nice and wait than be a scuzzball and have people hate me. You might get your Whopper at Burger King faster, but I bet there's some bodily fluids on there somewhere.
No thank you I do not care to be like that at all. Let me give you a little insight. I do tech support/customer service and I deal with assholes that act like that daily (I'm not calling you one, just people who act like that usually are) and the only reason it gets you what you want faster is because the person doesn't want to deal with your shit any longer than they have to. In addition, at least personally I will ALWAYS go out of my way to help someone who is patient and understanding and offer them all I can while I will only do the absolute minimum I have to do to get a jerk (again not calling you a jerk) off the phone. For instance if you call me because your Xbox is dead out of the package and act like that, I might set you up for a repair with overnight shipping all the way instead of the usual standard (I gave you more than you were gonna get, but not the best deal) but someone else calls up right after and is nice and friendly and patient but yet expresses dissasifaction with the process and I can sympathize with them...then they are going to get a replacement overnight and an empty box to send the broken one back (because they are nice enough for me to go bug my supervisor for permission to do this). See, you get a working console back in a week or so...they get one the next day. The point is, acting like that may be get you what you want, but if you are nice and patient yet stern you will generally get what you want and more.
But that's just my insight from the other side of the process, do with it what you want.
He may just be referencing Dilbert (there are a few series's where Dogbert explores the effects of rudeness), but it depends on the type of person doing the service. If it's a good employee who cares, like Kevin, then being nice helps--but for some employees (particularly federal bureaucrats who are counting down the days until they can collect pensions,) rudeness and threats are the only thing that works.
In other words:
Rudeness gets you poor, definite service. Politeness gets you much better service if the employee still gives it, but it won't help if the employee has lost all motivation in his job.
Well I will concede to that, but it's always better to start out nice and get rude if you have to. This guy seems to think it's ok to be rude from the start.
Yes, so did I. I used to sell electronics at OfficeMax when I was 17, that's where I got the idea. The rude customers always got what they wanted. It impressed me, so now I do it.
phone.
That's all I want, that is, the absolute minimum of all I want is what I want. I'll scream till I get it, once I get it I'll leave. My friends and stuff don't even need to wait for me to scream. If they have somethnig they know I want, they just give it to me right away because they know that if they don't, I'll fill their ears with four letter words. Very effective. Or at college in the dorm lounges, if some jackass is watching TV and won't let me watch the Simpsons, I just start screaming profanities until they leave.
Thank you. But, been there, done that. I've been screamed at myself. :-)
I think you guys are taking this too seriously :-) Like a baby.. when he's hungry he cries. Say I go to Burger King, I want four Cheeseburgers and I only want to pay for two, I get two, then find some reason to get pissed, like there isn't enough pickles, then just scream and if necessary swear and yell until eventually whatever I demand they will give. (tip: they are real quick to give free drinks, less costly to them I suppose. Or, if self serve, just order water then put soda in the cup)
I use common sense when doing this, of course. If I'm a jerk at a restaurant, I won't let the cook out of my sight. He's not gonna pull down his pants and defecate on my burger in front of me. That's the only bodily fluid (substance, I suppose) I can't stand on my food, anything else you really can't taste unless the burger is drenched in it, and even if it were drenched in piss, you could complain to the health department.
Exactly! That's the whole point. You may laugh now, but you know what, in 15-25 years or whatever, I'm going to have millions dollars more than you. I'll get my way with my education and my refusal to take a no.
Then you know how much it sucks to have someone yell at you. Think of those salespeople.
Damn, you must not keep friends very long. I would kick someone's ass if they tried to pull that shit with me.
Ok, the soda in the water cup is just plain stealing. It's also wrong to take advantage of people's good will. It's people like you that make businesses raise prices because people always want something for free.
Well, that's just impossible. At McD's and BK, you can't see the cook from the counter, and at all sit down restaurants, you can't see them, either. Believe, me, it doesn't take long to spit on your food. I've seen people do it. I worked at BK for two years in high school. You may not be able to taste it, but you can contract that person's diseases.
Um, no. Not everyone is nice enough to put up with that. You'll run into people that will make your life hell for making their life hell.
Yeah, I think of them. But they are not me. No more thought needed. besides, it is thier JOB to please ME.
Dude, I really am a nice guy at heart, I can keep friends. But people know how I will react and they know to change thier personalities around me. We can coexist and have fun together.
Yeah, so? I got what I wanted.
Prove it. Where is this documented? Who says this? What is wrong, and, what is right?
So if it's too expensive, just steal. Their fault for making it so expensive.
Yeah, but remember I use common sense. And really if somebody spit on my burger I would never know, and if I did, so what? Nothing in their mouth that isn't in my mouth.
Chill out man, start by having a nice day (or evening, whatever.)

The 1st episode w/him was Bart's Dog Gets an F. He's on a commercial for a brief second. He just says as an actor, my eyeballs need to look their whitest. True story. Joyeux Noel
