"Eve of Destruction" (Music during the Simpsons thwarting the stamp museum construction)
With Homer saying "bull****" and Chief Wiggum dancing naked (with the fog covering his private parts), the Simpsons is definitely leaning more towards Adult Swim type humor.
As the bit pointed out, Elisha Gray actually did invent the telephone independently from Alexander Graham Bell, with actually demonstrating his liquid transmitter telephone a year before Bell began working on his. However, on Valentine's Day 1876, Bell's patent for the telephone was filed two hours before Gray filled his own patent for it. BTW, the US House of Representatives have now officially considered the inventor of the telephone to be Antonio Meucci, who first introduced his version of the phone in 1849, years before Gray and Bell worked on their versions of the phone.
