I don't see why everyone is so ready to bury the Simpsons just because Matt thinks it's running out of steam. Maybe he's right, but there's nothing he can do either way; he doesen't have the power to end the show. In an interview in last mont's Cinescape he says that "I attempted to get that power, and Fox very politly told me 'hell, no.' " So even if Matt thinks the show is starting to show its age, unfortunatly it's up to Fox to determine "when the show becomes unprofitable." Ironically, Matt did have the power to end Futurama, but Fox made that descion for him.
