Hi everyone. I saw a Fox promo just now advertising an "all new full hour" of The Simpsons this Sunday. Has anyone else seen it? Did I hear them right? We get two episodes this week?

That's what I thought, but I was pretty sure that the voice mentioned "an all new full hour". I don't know.

Well, they're free on a loophole: that exact hour of time IS all-new, in that it's never before existed and never will again. (Ahem.)

Unfortunately, Fox this season has been fond of calling something "an all-new hour" when really it's just a new episode followed by a rerun. They do it on Sundays with "Malcolm in the Middle" (I don't think "The Grubbs" is ever going to see the light of day), and they do it on Tuesday with "That 70s Show" (not like I care, because I don't like the show, but what happened to "Grounded for Life"?).
The promos are a bit misleading, particulary because in the past, Fox only called something "an all-new hour" when it was precisely that: an *all* new hour, not just half-new. I know I fell for the trick this past Tuesday, when I taped what I thought would be two new episodes of "That 70s Show." Oh well. It turned out I hadn't yet seen the repeat anyway, so it all came out in the end.
