Some couch gags. I love the old posts of other people`s ideas.
Although having a memory like a Swiss cheese doesn`t aid my originality:)
1: Simpsons rush onto the set of the Cosby Show. (or any sitcom for that matter) Family Guy would be amusing.
2: Simpsons run into the set of an avant guarde B/W movie (each adopts a pretentious pose - music gets "experimental" - camera angles are unusual) - Homer yawns.
3: Small couches rush in, to sit on inflatable Simpsons chairs. The Homer chair bursts and starts to deflate.
4: Cut to the kid with the quivering voice (who always works in Krusty burger - or is always "the junior") - he looks nervous and says "um, couch gag.......right - I`ll have to ask my manager."
5: Couch is a big "scratch `n` win" card - big hand and coin scratches couch to reveal each simpson. Homer is revealed to be a pickle - thus the card is not a winner.

Yeah you`re right. hence the silence and tumbleweed drifting in the breeze. Maybe Moe should put that crayon back up my nose, and I`ll resort to posting quotes.
He he. I just watched Airplane! last night. Reinflating that Homer chair may get a little personal.
I'll take the yodel.
Looks good to me. Here're some more of'm.
1. The wall is a chalkboard and Bart has drawn chalk outlines of OFF on a couch. A bell rings and Bart exits, leaving Maggie half finished. (Possibly a similar reversal on chalkboard gag.)
2. OFF is encased in ice, wearing 'caveman' clothes. Bart is preserved for science poking Homer in the backside with a mammoth tusk. Pets have saber teeth.
3. The tall grass parts to reveal OFF trying to pull the couch out of quicksand. When it sinks, they doff their pith helmets in solemn remembrance (the remote resurfaces?).
4. The family is already sitting on the couch, but they look a little stiff. The shot widens to reveal that they are really collectible figurines of OFF in a diorama in a collector's room full of Simpson's merchandise. The collector stomps on them with a makeshift Monty Python foot-on-a-stick (or something).
5. OFF slides across the hoods of several muscle cars parked in the living room in order to get to the couch. Dress them as the Dukes of Hazzard if that helps matters.
6. Someone needs to figure out a Douglas Adams tribute with that couch Arthur Dent was chasing (am I wrong here?).
7. The couch is turned around to face the wall. OFF sits down, counts to three, and uses the wall to tip the couch backward. They serenely watch TV upside down (Homer eats chips from the upset side table?).
8. The couch is set on end as OFF enters, with the top end off the top of the screen. Dressed in climbing gear, they scale the couch with iceaxes. When they reach the top, Homer removes the 'Flanders' flag planted there and replaces it with a 'Simpsons' flag.
9. On the couch, OFF finds a beautiful princess asleep. SLH smells something under the cushions. Homer finds the pea and eats it. The princess smiles in her sleep and turns over.
10. OFF rushes to sit upon a strangely vegetal couch. The leaves of this giant Venus Flytrap close upon them. Marge's hair sticks out the top between the spines, but little else of them is visible. Homer's arm emerges from the side holding the remote and he calmly changes the channel.
Some of these may be ripoffs of actual gags. If so, strike them.
