If anyone cares, in the episode when Lisa goes to college... well everyone thinks she's in college, there's a scene when she's running and it keeps screwing up the camera, a la Run Lola Run... well I may have this confused with another episode but I do remember it
Also, when Marge beats up her mugger, it's exactly like Sonny Corleone beating up Carlo Rizzi in the Godfather...

The scene from Lola rennt is actually from that 3 part episode where you had Lisa's day, Homer's day, and Bart's day. That was where Lisa was trying to get to school after Marge left with Homer to get his thumb reattached.

Why is Run Lola Run "creepy"? Most people in the small audience I saw it with (admitedly the cinema was in a somewhat artsy, "alternative" neighborhood) thought it was a lot of fun. No one seemed disturbed or weirded out in any way. People laughed out loud at the funny parts, seemd to sympathize with the characters (esp. Lola and her klutzy boyfriend) and came out in a good, lighthearted mood. I mean, it wasn't The Night Porter for gods sake!
Well I suppose if you enjoyed it, good on you. However, I found it an exceptionally dumb concept.

Exactly. To me, its pretty much a non-linear arthouse popcorn movie. Get past the fact that the narrative moves in circles and contradicts itself and its just a traditional screwball, feel-good romp where the plucky, irreverent heroine wins the day through a mixture of courage, willpower and luck.
It's "Sliding Doors"...on ACID!!
