No way. The second I saw the hamster I was like "uhhh and richard gere is gonna be in this???" That had to be intentional.

uh, well, the "Richard Gere" legend includes a gerbil, not a hamster. There's a difference between the two, mostly with size and body shape, and the fact that the gerbil has a long tail, making it easier to, uh, "retrieve" from an orifice. ;-)
Urban legend?

Yeah, and the Richard Gere story involves GERBILS not hamsters.
This is such and OLD urban legend, can't we just get over it? BTW for more info on this completely false (regarding Richard Gere or any human being) story go to:

My point was really more how OLD the story was and that it's not something that is actually done by ANYONE. While everyone knows that it's just a silly urban legend as far as Richard Gere goes, some people do actually believe that it is something that people do and the insenuation is usually that it is something gay guys do...which is offensive.
