maggies coat

what the hell was with maggie's coat not being the star? Is it too much strain on the animators or something? That boring white one just didn't do it for me.

Now, I never interpreted the "star shape" as the shape of the coat. I always looked at it as a representation of the way some parents put so many layers on their kids that they can barely move. As a starfish, Maggie is immobilized. But the snowsuit doesn't make her look like a starfish, it's that it's so bulky that that's the way her arms and legs land when in it.

Maybe she outgrew the old one.
