I think the implication is that it will be at the end of this season (18). Aren't they at something like #380? Not long at all.
It will be interesting to see a 'Simpsons' episode running along minute by minute, if that's what they actually have in mind.

Fox is known for "creative accounting" when determining when milestone episodes of The Simpsons air (#300 was really 302, but they waited until February; #350 was really 351, but they waited until May so they could air it on the same day as the return of Family Guy), so it's not clear exactly when it will air, although if there are 22 episodes like there usually are, #400 would be the season finale (although I wouldn't be surprised if the season finale is some lead-in to the movie).
