I'm somewhat disappointed after tonight's showing. First, the bad. I don't think either Lisa's admiration for Chloe or Marge's jealousy of her was developed well enough, which really made the whole conflict seem empty. Also, with the frequency of name-dropping reference gags and wack-tasic jokes, quite a few of them bombed. But when this episode was good, it was great. The first act had me rolling, with the Quimby sex scandal media circus (a set-up for the recall ep?) delivering quite a few laughs (Bush/Cheney/FOX, Cookie Kwan's baby (!), the flashback) and the second two acts had enough laughs to keep it afloat. The volcano was sort of a rushed solution, but it fit well in the plot and resolved everything nicely. Overall, I'd say this episode gets an 8/10. (C+/B-)
Marge's "I'm tired of names!" was a reference to how much name-dropping Chloe and this episode as a whole did.
The music playing over Barney and Chloe's copter quickie is the theme from "Sex and the City"
Chloe was voiced by Kim Catrall, the former portrayer of Samantha Jones on HBO's hit show "Sex and the City". Catrall's latest project, Ice Princess, is set to hit the theaters in 2005.
