Many recent presidents have a family member who is known for getting themselves in trouble. For the current president, George W. Bush, that is in the form of his twin daughters. Both of them college students, the Bush twins have recently made news for getting caught drinking under the age.

I know Jane whatshername from Malcom in the Middle supplied the voice for Judge Harm, but was the character based on a Judge Judy or Dr. Laura type? Blaming the parents is definitely something they would do...

Andy(atuc.com), thought he'd throw that out there as well...

Definitely--Judge Judy pioneered the wacky catchphrase thing (i.e., "Don't spit on my cupcake and tell me it's frosting," "If I wanted a cock & bull story I'd read Hemingway," "I can see the mother is no prize pig herself.")

Actually, I think it was Judge Judy's father who came up with those wacky catch-phrases. Indeed, the "Don't spit on my cupcake and tell me it's frosting" line is a take-off on the title of Sheindlin's first book, "Don't Pee on My Leg and Tell Me It's Raining", a line she heard from her father. Sheindlin's second book was titled "Beauty Fades, Dumb is Forever".

Visit <http://www.judgejudy.com/judyspeak/judyspeak.asp> where you can actually hear samples of some of the catch-phrases. :-)

I think I'll pass. I'm not a huge fan of Judge Judy, but thanks for the info!

Andy(atuc.com), is afraid to be called a lousy parent because he doesn't have any kids
