Bart's hair changes from his formal hairdo to his casual one in the middle of the court scene, and it stays like that.

Where'd the bottles that the kids threw at Krusty come from?

Tonight's episode was a decent effort. It's always refreshing to see a well characterized Bart with his "bad boy with a heart" persona as the star of a show, and this was no disappointment. Gina, while not as compelling of a character as Jessica Lovejoy or Laura Powers, was still a good use of a guest star, and her lines were delivered well, with life and emotion, unlike some others this season *coughSimonCowellcough*. No gags fell flat, the plot worked well enough, Itchy and Scratchy was great as always, side characters were well utilized (Cletus and Snake were funny for the first time in a while) and Lauren Macmullan outdid herself with the direction. But while there wasn't anything wrong with the episode, there also was nothing that makes it stand out, much like most episodes this season. Nevertheless, it was enjoyable and deserves an 8.5/10. (B+)

The legend "The Wandering Jew" is a tale from the Middle Ages of an elderly Jew who cursed Jesus while he was on the Via Dolorossa, and was in turn destined to wander the earth, shunned forever; it was a church-generated anti-Semitic justification for a people scattered worldwide with no homeland.

Announcer: Sarah Michelle Gellar becomes a bad girl when she runs from the law with Bart. (A real pic of Sarah Michelle Gellar morphs into a still of Gina. That's alot of pausing the tape, notating, internet research and making graphics. Then you even have the time to give your opinion.

The time and date stamped on your Google post was "2004-03-29 01:24:30 PST". (Does anyone know if this is the time someone enters a post- or the time after the Google delay?) Even if there was no delay in the post time - there is NO WAY that you did all of that work, with such preciseness, from when the episode aired at 8pm (PST) until the Google time displayed (1:24 AM). Additionally, you have 2 more posts: (Date: 2004-03-29 01:27:55 PST) and (2004-03-29 01:33:02 PST) where you are already commenting on other people's submissions. Even if there isn't a delay in the Google post time: I would think that you would be wiped out after all that frantic work, that maybe you would take at least a 10 minute break to relax. If there is an actual delay in the Google post time: then you did all of that work and then found the time to comment on other posts during that time.

So, what gives, do you have an advanced copy of the show every week?

And dejanews/google sends post out of their system as soon as they are posted, so the time would be the posting time. The fact that dejanews/google archives messages in batches, every four hours or so, only affects people who read messages there.

The FFF stuff took the longest and was the hardest (2 or 3 hours), but otherwise it wasn't that hard. I do some of the previous episode references and other references before hand based on the synopsis from snpp.com and the DYN's I do while watching the episode. I transcribe the commercials beforehand too, and so aside from the FFF and the review, all I have to do is revise and add a few things.

But thanks for the compliments, because I do put a lot of though into my submissions, even if they don't take that long to do.

While I was looking for another post to back up my point, I came across another poster's capsule submission. The air date of the show was 2/8/04...the time stamped on the thread is "2004-02-08 17:35:30 PST"-which is 5:35PM pacific/8:35PM eastern. Now this one would HAVE TO be posted after watching the show in the eastern time zone. The show finished @ 8:30...5 minutes to write and post a capsule submission? How could you absorb the show and give it a grade ("A") if you were too busy taking notes? Granted, the first half of it could have been pre-typed - but then they would have to madly type in their opinion of what they just watched, hit "post message", without even reviewing their thoughts/or typing errors a bit? WTF?

Sorry, but all these things are going in my "fishy" file until this is cleared up.

You see, in "Steve Brown"'s and "Stephen"'s posts, even the crappiest episodes will be graded "A" or at least a "B". Apparently there are staff from shows that post on message boards to try and sway the fan opinion. This is deceptive business practices.

Yeah, but that doesn't mean much. Millions of people live in LA, and I just happen to be one of them that is a Simpsons fan. Doesn't mean I have some inside connection.

Looking back on that, it does seem a bit odd, but again, I assure you that I don't see the episode until 8 pm PST (even the voice actors and most of the staff don't see the finished product until then).

It takes about ten minutes at most to look at a paused screen and identify all of the characters, and in addition I misidentified Largo's date.

3 hours is more time than you think if you use it efficiently.

Well, my Marge vs. SSCCaTaG review was a C+, and Regina Monologues and Fat and the Furriest were worse (C- and C respectively) and I've seen the other Stephen give lower grades as well. So that already disproves your theory.

Well, seeing as the Simpsons staff hates FOX, that accusation contradicts your others, so I'll let you decide which one you want to stick by, and decide the answer based on that. Or I could tell you right now that I'm neither a FOX executive, nor a member of the Simpsons staff, and that you should give up on this little witch hunt.
