You can't figure out what state they are coming from based on clues (I know, I tried)
While driving to Orlando, Skinner passes a sign for Orlando 2653 miles. The closest to that figure would be Springfield, Oregon at 3200 miles. OK, MAYBE he took off and saw the sign 300+ miles down the road. But that means he still drove the whole thing in ....what.... one day?

No, let's just say that everything in the scully era was a dream...
A few things:
1) Skinner couldn't have gone very far when he saw that sign because he picked up his mother on the way.
2) Yes, they were banned from the state of Florida. It would have been funny if that cop or judge from the spring break episode was chasing them out of the state at the end of the episode. But the writing sucks and they always seem to contradict things from previous episodes. Oh well.
3) And they mentioned Substitute Teacher of the Year. C'mon, that had Peggy Hill written all over it! Would've been a good chuckle at least if she made a cameo.
4) The only funny part of this episode was when Skinner said "This is worse than what I did in Nam", and in the flashback he eats a cupcake that were for officers only.

What about the part where Bart thinks of all the eligible males in Springfield, getting more and more ridiculous with each one? I know it was sort of done in The Two Mrs. Nahasapeemapetilons, but this was so ridiculous that I laughed harder than I can ever remember laughing at a Simpsons gag. And that's saying something!
