lines cut from clown college episode?

	Tonite fox channel 29 in philly ran the clown college episode.
I noticed when homer gets seated at the restaurant the cook says "you
don't wanna sit with this a scum" or however it goes, they had the
other patrons mumuring and went seamlessly to the next scene.
Completely cut out where he says to them they are only scum compared
to krusty.
	They also have this nasty habit of cutting dialoge in
mid-sentence when going to commercial. Are they trying to squeezing
extra commercials into this already to short show or is it just a
fluke.

no that happens here on a certain episode i remember. It is the episode where flanders starts his store, at the end of the first segment after homer makes the wish to have the store close down, he takes a bite of the hamburger and begins to laugh... then he chokes..well it cuts it off while hes laughing but before he chokes which annoys the piss out of me every time it is syndicated.. btw im in san jose kbhk/upn network ch.12.

It happens to ALL syndicated episodes.

It happens all the time in Australia. Especially on the first Commercial Break because they squeeze in the "Brought to you by...".

A good example is the episode (I think it's the Itchy and Scratchy Land one, but I'm not sure) when OFF go on the log ride and crash onto the cusions. Marge says something like "lets go do something else, kids" and you see them going on the ride again, however, when the Episode is shown you just see them hitting the cusions, then it cuts away.

I happens in Lexington. I have the First broadcast and syndicated version of the episode guest staring The Who. I've watched them back to back and the good punchlines got cut.

also, it's another reason to buy (or, until they come out, to *want* to buy ... ) the DVD's. example: we've all seen "life in the fast lane" on TV countless times, but there were some scenes that have been permanently cut from syndication (marge getting her bowling shoes, etc). seeing these scenes in a show that, up until now, you could probably relate the entire script to, is pretty neat.

also, does anyone else think that the funniet part of the first season DVD are the "outakes" with mel brooks from that same episode? they are ... brilliant.
