Review: After a wacky Simpsons go abroad episode, it's good to see them getting back to basics. Sure, Homer and Marge fighting over money is nothing new, but this time the fights seemed a bit more intense. The beginning was kind of strange, I think Homer took as much punishment in one act as he does in may episodes. The thing with the RV Community was odd, but I liked it. But beyond that it was a very solid episode. More importantly it seemed that the story was coherent through out the show, as opposed to previous episodes which have two or three distinct stories. Finally, It was good to see Bob and his RV round up again (glad they picked him as opposed to creating something new) albeit with a different voice. Overall B.

A Cyprus Divided: Cyprus is one of those odd problems that you just hope will go away. In 1960 the UK gave the island its independence. The problem was that it allowed the Greeks and Turks to have limited control over the island's internal affairs. The idea was that it would help stop ethnic violence eg. Muslims on the island ruled by Muslims, and Christians ruled by Christians. The legally recognized government of Cyprus is the (Greek) Republic of Cyprus, which only controls 2/3rds of the Island, and is not recognized by Turkey. The UN has since sent peace keepers to the island to prevent an ethnic war from starting. A wall was built across the island, in a similar way to how Berlin was divided, but recently the Turks have been allowing limited access from their part of the island to the rest of it. This was probably due to the fact that they want to become EU members. Anyway, it remains to be seen how this crisis will resolve itself. Strangely enough, both Turkey and Greece are NATO members, and technically allies.
