REVIEW: C-plus - let's see, we have a "meh" story, another "somebody's about to die" thread, and a "things change because Lisa has to be right again" ending, and even the twist of having the island logged was overdone in the last shot.

Long before the nazis used it, it was a Native American symbol (and I seem to recall it also shows up in Hindu or Buddhist symbology). But, it is reversed if I am remembering properly.

So people see the symbol, automatically assume it's a symbol of naziism, when it doesn't automatically have to be.

So that it's backwards may mean the artist got it wrong, but it also might mean a deliberate mangling so there'd be no nazi swastika, or Lisa may be wrong, not catching that it was in reverse and represents something else.

And they could have made that scene far better by stealing from the Gregory Peck version of "Moby Dick". There's a church scene in that movie, and the pulpit is like the front of a ship. It's a reflection of how the town (I think New Bedford) is so dependent on the sea.

We saw that same dependence on the sea in the episode last night, and I really had expected such a pulpit. And a minister who looked like an aging sea captain!
