There is a new 3D IMAX film out called Cyberworld 3D, it features new animation as well as segments from television and movies including a scene from "Antz" and the entire Homer^3 segment. I just saw a commercial for it. I'm gonna go see it just to see Homer on IMAX.

New is a bit of an exaggeration. It came out 10/6/2000, over a year ago. Plus they cut of the end of the Homer^3 segment.
Well it's not an 'exaggeration' because for it to be an exaggeration I would have to have known that to be the case. It has only been showing here since Nov. 17 (and I didn't even know it had been here that long when I made the post) and I had never heard of it before so I thought it was new. So I am sure there are other people who did not already know about it and it may be showing somewhere near them.

So, I've been told. I had never heard of it before. Apparently it came out in Oct. of 2000. We have only had an IMAX here since April and they just started showing it in November.

Since we got our IMAX here in Indy a couple years ago, I've known them to run the same film for months, even recycling ones that they showed a year ago. I've seen too much of that Michael Jordan one and that racing one. I like IMAX, it rocks, but they need to make more.

It could be worse, like in San Antonio "Alamo...the Price of Freedom" has been running continuously since it opened. We just got one in April, it's in the state history museum (otherwise we still wouldn't have one.) They run one 3D and one regular in the same theater. They run them for about three months and then they change them. I haven't actually been to ours yet, we never really think about it...we forget it's there. Plus we usually opt for a regular movie at the theater that serves food and beer.
