What ever happened to this show? It was the only show that compared to the simpsons.. it had the same style as earlier simpsons shows did. I liked that way better than the newer style simpsons. Is it ever gonna be back?

Well, if by comparing to the Simpsons, you mean that the Dad character was a blatant rip-off of Homer, then yes. Or if by comparing to the Simpsons, you mean that it's really not funny (i.e., most of the latest season of the Simpsons has been quite weak) then yes. I cannot understand what anyone saw in this show. Where the Simpsons mostly relies on subtlety and sharp satire with some slapstick and uses of the word "ass" thrown in for good measure, FG always struck me as about as sharp and subtle (and funny...and predictable) as a sledgehammer. Am I missing something?

I personally don't always want to watch a show that is subtle and satirical. Sometimes I just want to laugh. And personally (and many disagree) I found the over-the-top, pushing the envelope blatant humour of Family Guy to be new and very funny. But then again, I enjoyed Freddy Got Fingered; but let's not get into THAT again.

actually i think family guy is a lot different than the simpsons while the simpsons makes fun of the way people act ( i mean mostly) family guy seems to take more shots at pop culture. i love both shows cant wait for the new seasons family guy is on in the fall thursdays at 8
I agree,I really like Family Guy and find it really funny.Although they do try to do some Simpson like humor,they have a style all their own.I look foward to seeing it again.

I did indeed enjoy Family Guy, and can't wait till its return. However, I notice that they used a lot of situational gags from the Simpsons (i.e. I noticed a spontaneous combustion, a "No Fat Chicks" shirt). But then again, what show hasn't stolen from another at one point or another?

That show is fucking queer
I especially like how you use such advanced and elaborate language in all your posts. I find it very refreshing in comparison to those who disagree with my point of view by providing examples and explanations for their opinions, and acknowledging the fact that some people have differing opinions. I really hate those kinds of people.
