It all started when that idiot 'whippy' made some inanely insulting post regarding Americans, and I stupidly took the bait and wrote a 600 word essay on why he was utterly wrong and an overall backwards moron. I think you actually jumped in on that thread as well.
Anyway, because he got such a response to that offhand remark, he then took the ball and ran with it, posting a bunch of other anti-American crap, and included some inuendo in his Simpsons-related posts as well. Typical troll behavior.
Realizing the error of my ways in responding to the troll in the first place, I have not responded to any of his other posts since. Most others have ignored him as well. He seems to have quieted down a bit.

And to think I wasn't around for most of it - oh well, as an American, I'm constantly being reminded how much the world hates us, but I really don't have a problem with any other country - except France - oh, and the French speaking parts of Canada, of course.
So, all in all, whatever anyone said bad about the US, it was all sincere and probably even true, but whatever any of us Americans said about Canada, it was all facetious. Except for the French speaking portion - (filthy Frenchies!)
