As much as I would love to see a Simpsons movie (or three), I have some reservations and mixed feelings about the whole concept.

First, no matter how good it is, it will never live up to the expectations and hopes of the true fans. It's just impossible. Like the last episode of Seinfeld.

Second, I worry that in their attempt to reach a broad audience, they will dumb it down too much.

Then again, it is completely possible that it will be great, and everyone will love it, but the odds are certainly stacked against it.
