Overall I thought the episode did a pretty good job with parodying the classic stories and with use of minor charectors. The main problem with this episode was that each segement felt rushed and many of the jokes fell flat. It was more of a "thats interesting" episode than a laugh out loud episode. (C+/B-)

Naturally, you're entitled to your opinion. I _did_ laugh out loud throughout most of it (except the Ghostbusters ending, though now I'm a bit more mellowed to it) - I don't know how well you know the stories, but I've read the Odyssey and Hamlet, and knowing what something humorous is based on makes it even funnier. It's nice that the writers are still rewarding fans for knowing the classics (get it? ohhh!). Two other notes: it's interesting that they didn't do anything with "to be or not to be" - probably they felt it was overdone and obvious. The other note: Hooray for the couch gag! I wonder whose hand that was (Matt Groening's? Maybe, but you'd think he'd point with his left hand). My grade: A

Yeah, I'm noticing that a lot of posts are being made by people who don't appear to have read Hamlet or Homer's Odyssey. Not that there's anything wrong with that, but some of the jokes are based on more indepth plot lines from those two stores and may not be as funny to those who didn't read them.
