Protecting the Viewing Public

Star India (who show Simpsons reruns) are always looking out for the best interests of the viewing public. They do *not* make the syndication cuts that many other stations do. But -- in any scene with nudity, even Simpsons-style nudity, they protect our moral fiber by cutting them. They just showed "Alone Again, Natura-Diddley," and Ned's Dating Tape did *not* include the shower scene! And of course, in the 138th episode spectacular, the final run through of nude scenes was left out.

Are these guys the best, or what?

(wait, wrong cartoon show) An interesting experiment would be to write to Star India and ask why they made the cuts in the shows and ask that they do not in the future because of artistic integrety of the creators, or something wacky like that. -Aaron TheYAM.net

Actually, for some reason, they did show the entire episode (as far as I can tell). On the other hand, they did cut out the sequence at the end of the "138th Episode Spectacular" in its entirety.

P.S. You might be interested to know that "Shane" was not directed by John Ford (it was directed by George Stevens) and it did not star John Wayne (it starred Alan Ladd, with a wonderful performance by Jack Palance as the bad guy).
