McGarnigle

One of the funniest ever moments for me was the little McGarnigle bit in "The Bot Who Knew Too Much". It was hilarious, especially in the context of the storyline.

Did anyone else really enjoy McGarnigle?

I wonder why he hasn't featured a bit more in The Simpsons.

Back when I was a regular here, there was a supposition that MacGarnicle (I don't think an official spelling was ever reached) was voiced by Albert Brooks. (Brooks voiced one-shot characters Hank Scorpio, Bob the RV saleman, and Jaques.) He also voiced Brad Goodman, and MacGarnicle's appearance in "Bart's Inner Child" was probably the connection. I don't know if this was ever confirmed, but the absense of both MacGarnicle _and_ Brooks suggests that the latter may have indeed been the voice behind the former.
