There were "Simpsons" episode aired before the year 1999. Perhaps you've lost them in your basement, but I really feel it's silly to show "Children of a Lesser Clod" every 3 weeks.

Prior to the week before last, they (WNYW in NYC) played eps from season 2 through season 9. I have about three weeks worth on tape to help me get through their Children of a Lesser Clod problems...
I'm split on this - I haven't been able to see the newer ones on Sundays as much due to various things, so I've missed some of the last three seasons. Catching them on Ch. 5 is good.
However...
much like they do with the "older" episodes, they only show the same 5 over and over from the recent years. Everytime I visit Excite's TV listings to see what's coming up I have to hit "refresh" three times just to make sure it's not an old listing. It's like a very pleasant surprise when they show one only once every two weeks.
Ch. 5 with the Simpsons is getting like Q104 with music - they have other [episodes/songs]. Quit playing the same ones all the time!
Thus endeth today's complaints that have nothing to do with the officiating of last night's basketball game.

We are having similar problems in Philly. I would love to see "Bart on the Road." My hothead ex-boyfriend smashed up the tape from that season during a temper tantrum. Jerk.

Boston's WFXT is also mostly running episodes from the last few years. Ditto for WNDS from New Hampshire. But WFXT does occasionally throw in an episode from 95-97, usually on Saturday nights; we got "Bart on the Road" a few weeks ago. Gotta love the Wigsphere. And the look on Bart's face, when Lisa suggests that he observe Patty and Selma at work, is one of the funniest things I've ever seen.
Salt LakeCity's KTSU is primarily showing newer episodes (If I see that "Paint that Wagon" one more time....)
But, I did get a treat with the Mr. Sparkle episode tonight... Al F 729th ACS HAFB, Utah I used to be with it, but then they changed what "it" was. Now, what I'm with isn't it, and what's "it" seems weird and scary to me.-Abe
