Today's NYTimes Crossword Puzzle by Merl/Shortz - Simpsons?

Differring accounts of what is suppose to be in todays (Sunday) New York Times (November 16, 2008) crossword puzzle has left people puzzled, but the theme that it's intended to contain a secret message appears to be the most accurate. The title is "Sounds Like Somebody I Know". The clue for 35 across is "Exclamation from a blockhead" and the three letter answer could be DOH (35 down is DRU) but I didn't see anything else obvious. FYI, the puzzle posted earlier by Don (thanks!!!) is not the same puzzle. SO, if anyone out there finds a more meaningful "secret message", please advise! (I'll be looking further for it, and solving the crossword puzzle, but we shall see...)

Naturally, there are obvious parallels between today's episode and Lisa Comics #1 (the only issue... sigh) that included a crossword as part of the comic.
