I found this episode quite entertaining, but a little disturbing in places.

As for Disco Stu, there probably trying to make him big again by putting silly ideas in our heads. Since he's clearly tried to hit on ladies before. As for really disturbing, GHOSTBUSTER's dance at the end was very scary!

Actually, these references come from the very stories they were lampooning, either directly, or from the historical period the story was set in.
