Banzai SUCKS!!!
I sort of liked the first episode. Mr. Shake Hands Man and Lady One Question were funny, though I can't imagine watching this show every week.

Question
Straying wayyy off topic, does anyone know the music played during Lady One Question? It sounds sooooooooo familiar.
(P.S. While we're off topic anyway, did anyone notice on tonight's show Mr. Shake Hands Man was recycled from the original British version? Or are Angelina and Billy-Bob back together? ;-)

I dunno. Squirrel fishing was pretty funny, too.
Next episode: Transsexual skateboarder hari-kiri! Season finale: We get so pissed off at low ratings we invade China again! Fall premiere: Iron Systems Administrator!

"grandma chicken wheelchair challenge"? I haven't heard of this show, but it sounds great! Can you please describe the grandma chicken wheelchair challenge?
"ent" wrote in message news:[email]...
Anyone know where it might be up for download? I've heard about it, and it sounds great :)
I liked the first skit where you had to pick out the transvestite boy from a lineup of young girls in pretty frilly dresses. There was something vaguely disturbing about the whole concept in a vague way, though.
Banzai in general sort of reminds me of that Simpsons episode that parodied Japanese game shows. Like they reverse-engineered the satire, which the Japs seem capable of doing.
Anyhow, it was sort of fun to watch and it was somewhat like actually watching Japanese t.v. without having to go to Japan. Next episode I'm going to move my television into the closet then sit on the floor in there with some ramen and saki, and pretend I'm in Japan. (For dessert, a $200 cubical watermelon that accesses the internet via an implanted nanochip, of course.)

Perhaps, but an article I read in the newspaper implied that the show was actually produced stateside.

This was the first and last time I saw any of "Banzai", and when the transvestite boy skit was on, I immediately remembered seeing a promo showing the boy taking off the wig, which of course blew any suspense that skit might have held. I don't know who's dumber, the people making "Banzai" or the Fox promo department.

The number of spoilers I have seen in Fox promos would indicate the latter is true.

Besides, it would have been way cooler if they made that that the guy had to have sex with the girl he chose... even if the "girl" was the transvestite. THAT would make it interesting.

And they did it again! Last night, they had a preview of next week's show, where a guy tries to pilot a robot (with a dead chicken on top) across the highway, and the announcer asks, "Will the chicken cross the road?" Nope. It got squashed. -- Christopher Heckman

I used to have cable from the last guy who lived here. I see a lot of satellite dishes around but don't get this concept of "buy." You mean people, like, *pay* for t.v.? What the hell country is this, Russia? France?

Worse. Pay for COMMERCIAL t.v. You pay to watch more channels worth of commercials. They have it at my Girlfriend's place so I mooch off of them. No sense letting it go to waste.

Don't get too hooked. You know the wise execs at Fux are going to yank it as soon as they figure out it has a cult following...

I just watched it for the first time yesterday, and I kind of liked it, in a weird way. It's ridiculous enough to be passable, but it doesn't belong between "Futurama" and "The Simpsons." It's more of a Saturday evening thing, instead of "COPS."

You know, I think you hit the nail on the head. I don't hate the show so much as resent it's time slot. It doesn't go in the lineup. Like you said--Saturday evening COPS kinda thing.

I don't really know why it isn't on on Saturday. That show really seems like a Drunk with friends show. Not a monday morning water cooler show.
"Michael Zaite" wrote in message news:...
It will never end up on Saturday. Once FOX discovers it has a following, they'll move it to Thursday 8PM and kill it.
