Treehouse of Horror XIII 30 min. The series begins its 14th season---tying it with Ozzie and Harriet as TV's longest-running comedy---with its annual Halloween trilogy. In the first story, a magical new hammock enables Homer to "Send In the Clones," a small army of duplicates that he happily dispatches to do chores---until one kills Flanders. Next is "The Fright to Creep and Scare Harms," in which Springfield is invaded by a posse of cowboy zombies led by Billy the Kid, prompting Homer to go back in time to save the day. In the finale, the family ships out for "The Island of Dr. Hibbert," where they become guinea pigs in experiments to cross humans with animals. (VCR Plus+ 5357)

Review: Well, I guess this was kinda worth waiting five months. Ok, so it was not that good and not that funny. I guess send in the Clones was the funniest of all the episodes, and by that I mean it was not as boring as the others. The only downside was that in all the promos for the episode I saw pretty much 100% of this segment beforehand. So no surprises.
Anyhow, I guess maybe the writers have parodied everything in the world, so they have to stoop to Multiplicity and bad Brando movies. I mean, there is a whole genre of "horror" movies out there that has been relatively untapped, and I bet you a nickel there could be a really good parody of Evil Dead or Texas Chainsaw Massacre or even Halloween (it is a Halloween episode after all).
Either Way, I give the Three episodes C+, C, and C-, which averages out to a C. Average, but better than the talking dolphins (THOH 11).
