2) States don't have a border patrol to prevent people like the Simpsons from entering after a ban.

Yes, as long as they stay away from the area where they had the run-in with the police, and avoid trouble with the law, their chances are pretty good that they will have no problem. Though if they get stopped for speeding, they may get nabbed.

Yep; having a 20-month old around the house these things always occur to me. You can't just write 'em out of the picture that easily in real life!!

Well that's what happens on real shows. On "Friends" Ross has two kids, and they are usually out of sight.

SOme shows, the kids completely disappear, not just for an episode but for the rest of the run.

Or, once the "we're pregnant/here comes the baby/we have a new baby" sequence has passed, the bably suddenly spurts up overnight to an age where they can walk and talk.

Of course, they are dealing with real babies as the actors, and not only are they harder to handle, there are rules about how much time they can spend on the set. With animation, that's not the case.
