Michael Moore is far too highbrow for the Simpsons. All he talks about in his books and movies is class warfare. Too much for the Simpsons.
In "Bowling for Columbine", NRA lifer Moore responds to the "Guns don't kill people, people kill people" line by trying to find out why this is true in the USA. Moore is not a liberal gun control freak, but trying to get that question answered made a lot of people mad at him.
Maybe people in Springfield could be dying from eating too many donuts. "Donuts don't kill people, people kill people". Michael Moore could try to find out why. He could visit the home of the President of the The NDA (National Donut Association), who turns out to be Homer. Similar to his visit to Charlton Heston's house in BFC.
