Notes for RABF06 (Gorgeous Grampa)

Nice to see more episodes for Matt Selman to try showrunning (another of his ran earlier tonight too). Also nice to see one at full length. I wasn't super into the episode itself, but that could be because there have been a lot of Abe episodes recently (PABF16, RABF01); there were some fine ideas to get into and the tone was decent.

Now, can someone explain what the (sorta) couch gag was?

Meta -A few things in the villain song, including trading another jab with South Park (Eric Cartman), using Rainier Wolfcastle's silhouette for The Terminator, listing Mr. Burns himself (and using his silhouette for Skeletor [see CABF21]) -Carl notes that he and Lenny come to everything in Springfield and it's always worth it

How about a real reference? Bart and Lisa's conversation about Nelson refers back to "Lisa's Date with Density" and perhaps other episodes but since I don't anally memorize them I wouldn't know off-hand.

Marge's comment about old gay men being adorable probably means she has no sense of history. J. Edgar Hoover, Whittaker Chambers, Roy Cohn, and Edwin Walker were not adorable when they were old. They were unrepentant psychopaths.

Abe building a Sherman Tank inside a bottle seemed kind of masculine, but what he was doing to the rifle barrel with the wooden stick was a little, hard to understand?
