Arrested Development

Would you say most fans of The Simpsons are fans of Arrested Development, or vice versa?

I finished the 15 episodes. It was a tough slog at first but was rewarding at the end... Actually, the ending was kinda "meh" but overall it was interesting and funny, especially the middle. Started off slow. But then the Rashomon aspect started to make sense. And the setups in the early first few episodes made more sense and started to pay off.

I'm not sure how many viewers will have the patience of GOB though. But for those that stick with it and carry through, it will be worthwhile and they will be rewarded.

Never watched it. I may be in the minority but I prefer comedies that are actually funny. Most comedies now are painfully unfunny.

I could never get past the constant narration. Just something about it turned me off. I've heard good things from people I respect, so I might try it again in the future.

You can call it whatever you want. I call it unfunny. Along with all the other so-called comedies consisting of stupid people saying doing stupid things for a half hour. Not funny. Not comedy. But you can call it whatever you like if it makes you feel better for wasting your time with it.

And the people who don't like them don't need to hear that they don't understand how funny it is and being treated as they're stupid because they don't like comedy that just isn't funny.
