2/22 - PRE-EMPTED so Homer can try and crash the Academy Awards that night...well, that and Fox is airing the NASCAR Auto Club 500 (local programming will air after the race in the western USA)

3/1 - How the Test Was Won (LABF02) Bart's perfect score on a practice test for a national achievement test rattles Lisa, especially when she discovers Bart doesn't have to take the actual test, but there's more to Bart's exemption than meets the eye; when Hank discovers he didn't mail his insurance check, he and Peggy have to avoid accidents at all costs - no, wait, that's an episode of "King of the Hill"...when Homer is late with his insurance check, he has to avoid accidents at all costs

GOOFS / FREEZE FRAME / WHATNOT Marcia Wallace was credited - but did Mrs. Krabappel even appear, much less have a line, in the episode?

In the new opening, when Marge's car first comes into view, Maggie is in the passenger seat position, but later, she's between Marge and Grampa.

In the couch scene, the Jebediah Springfield statue has its head, which was sawed off earlier in the opening.

The plaques on the Wall of Fame keep changing positions - for example, at first, the plaques of Mr. Teeny and Vance are to the right behind Mayor Quimby and under Krusty's plaque, but just before Vance's is revealed, they are to Quimby's left and under Sideshow Bob.

CHANGES IN THE OPENING A crow flies across the screen below the title The scene in front of City Hall, with Jimbo and Dolph sawing off the head of the Jebediah Springfield statue, which lands on Ralph's head The street heading to the school now has a bakery and a Lard Lad Donuts on one side, and The Android's Dungeon (which has never been on a street corner before) and a "Krusty - Now Doing Funerals" billboard on the other When Bart leaves school on his skateboard, he lands on a pile of leaves (covering Barney) being raked by Groundskeeper Willy In the power plant, instead of Mr. Burns shaking his watch, Lenny is changing a sign from "2 Days Without An Accident" to "3" while Carl is holding the ladder At the supermarket, Patty and Selma (and a cartful of Laramie cigarette boxes) are behind Marge, who is reading a magazine whose title is unintelligible (but on the back is an "Absolut Krusty" ad); the conveyor has Frosted Krusty-O's, Mr. Sparkle, and Tomacco Juice; when Maggie is scanned, the price goes from 243.26 to 486.52 (which is double the previous amount); when Maggie pops out of the bag, she stares at Gerald the one-eyebrow baby In band, Sherri and Terri are now the correct size, and they play handheld video games instead of flutes; Database is now in the band, next to Martin; right after Lisa leaves, she pops back in through the doors When Homer throws out the nuclear rod, it lands on Otto (sitting on a park bench), who swallows it Bart now passes by Sideshow Bob (who swipes at him with a machete), Helen Lovejoy (with correctly-colored hair), Apu and his eight kids, Moe, Comic Book Guy, Disco Stu, the cat lady, the rich Texan, and Chief Wiggum; Hans Moleman pops his head out of a manhole, only for the cover to be hit by Marge's car When Marge and Maggie (whose steering wheel has a Krusty logo) honk their horns, Grampa is in the front passenger seat and wakes up, his dentures falling out The "fast pan" is now: Chalmers and Agnes standing between a nervous Skinner Willy on his tractor as Squeaky-Voiced Teen looks on Ralph building a sand castle on Maude Flanders's grave Milhouse playing catch with Richard and Lewis Mayor Quimby and "Miss Springfield" wearing each other's sashes Jimbo, Dolph, and Kearny about to beat up Martin The ballet teacher from KABF08 doing "jazz hands" Patty and Selma sunbathing in bikinis Cletus and Brandine looking at Spider-Pig Captain MacAllister holding up Blinky Kang and Kodos hovering overhead in their spacecraft, as Luigi and Bumblebee Man apparently stare at them Mr. Burns and Smithers standing behind a brick wall marked "EL BARTO" Sherri, Terri, and Krusty (smoking a cigarette) in front of the wall A cameraman pointing a remote TV camera at Kent Brockman Fat Tony standing in front of a freshly-dug hole as two of his henchmen carry a body in a bag Lou and Eddie stand behind a barricade as Snake takes Lou's gun Miss Hoover lugs a bus tire as Janey and some other kids stand in front of the school bus (with Wendell sticking his head out of one of the windows) Duffman striking a typical pose Jessica Lovejoy watches as Sideshow Mel pushes a baby carriage with Mr. Teeny in it God shakes a five-fingered fist at the devil (not Flanders) Rod and Todd Flanders are holding/releasing birds Marge's car now hits Homer, who is carried by the front bumper until her car stops, and then goes through the closed door

Then there's something wrong with your TV, as the SD version I have is letterboxed. If you have a digital TV, make sure the setting for SD isn't set to something that tries to fill the screen (usually called something like "zoom").

A check on a TV with better resolution reveals that it is, in fact, Frank Grimes - which means it's technically a continuity goof, as his tombstone also said something like "Grimey" the last time it was shown.

The twins were not playing musical instruments in Lisa's music class. They were playing some sort of hand held computer games? Bleeding Gums Murphy's picture on the wall next to Beethoven in Lisa's music class.

I did not notice the Tomacco, but I did notice Mr. Sparkle. Apparently someone is distributing Mr. Sparkle in Homer Simpson's prefecture!

The tops looked like those "Madonna Bras".
