Last night's show, on May 5, was great. This season has had some bad ones, but I'd say 75% of this season's shows have been good so far. That's not bad enough to jump the shark, IMHO. When the ratio of bad shows outnumber the good ones, then the shark has jumped. Simpsons hasn't gotten there yet. When I watch an entire Simpsons episode and not laugh, that's when there'll be a problem.

I don't know, even though the Scully era was bad, there was no real defined JTS. 9 was mediocre, 10 would be the worst in my mind, being the most gimmick-run, but still had some good jokes. Season 11 had both really good episodes and really bad episodes, while 12 was kind of just there. Season 13 is a great revitalization, I don't get all the harsh feedback
