GOOFS / FREEZE FRAME / WHATNOT Plates of glass were falling out at the school, but those wouldn't be held in by screws.

When Lisa is in class, her hair is messed, but in the first scene in Principal Skinner's office, it's briefly fixed before it is messy again.

Milhouse's hair is messed when he first appears on Bart's doorstep, but then it appears fine.

Apu says that Bart is drinking a 512 oz Squishee, but that's four US gallons; the cup isn't nearly big enough.

I liked the episode. More laughs than usual and I enjoyed the Bart/girlfriend story...kind of like how the Jessica Lovejoy story seemed to be going at first before Jessica turned out to be different. I wasn't impressed with Lisa's B-story, though. Might have been more interesting to see Lisa befriend Jen because they both like to help people, then maybe having a dispute over politics or something.

Two goofs stood out from the unscrewing scene: first, in the long shot the whole "Springfield Elementary School" sign is gone, but then the letters start falling on Willie. Then, when Willie is on the ground, there are three "N"s next to him, but there are only two "N"s in "Springfield Elementary School". (It was a good visual gag, though.)

Arrgh! I was going to point that out. You beat me to it! That's what I get for waiting until Monday morning to post!

BTW, I your book "Dr. Zhivago", is a masterpiece.

Oh, give it time. Throughout the series, a little less than half of the couch gags are repeats, and those are usually in the second half of the production season. Plus I doubt they're going to shoehorn an old, low-def, 4:3 one in, though I wonder if the classic circus one will get reanimated in time.

An actual HD question: is there anything legible only in HD now? I had a hard time reading Lovejoy's "Psalm Pilot" a few weeks ago, though I had averted my gaze for most of it, and then last night there were the futuristic newspapers with gibberish text... not sure if that actually read anything in HD.
