I remember when it first debuted a decade ago many at a.t.s treated it with hostility (as a "ripoff" of the Simpsons) or with fear ("If I watch Futurama, they'll cancel the Simpsons!")
Any thoughts on it now?
Personally I thought a.t.s was way too hard on it at the time. The Simpsons had already jumped the shark at that point and Futurama had become the funnier of the two.
I watch it.
How could anyone logically make that argument? At the time, "Futurama" was on the same network, at a different time, by (largely) the creators of "The Simpsons." If anything, it would strengthen "The Simpsons" position.
