Consistency with the movie and future episodes... [spoilers]

Since Springfield got trashed and rebuilt in the movie, will that mean we will see new things in the upcoming new seasons? Like new stuff in The Simpsons' house (I know the house was rebuilt -- but will there still be cracks and stuff?)?

And I would be surprised if (a) Colin is in any future episodes (except maybe in background scenes) and (b) Dr. Nick is not.

Personally, I think they'll probably make references in the first episode coming back, and then only bring it up occasionally. I think Riveria will remain dead. (How much more can they do with him, anyway?)

To me, the most shocking break with the series was with the fight between Marge and Homer. The finality of what happened to the wedding video was pretty jarring. All of a sudden, it was like watching a live action movie. How do they just let something *that* big go? When I read reviews of the movie, and they talked about it going somewhere where they didn't know if the series could continue, that's the kind of thing I think they meant. In terms of continuity, that's a pretty big hole. Bigger than Springfield Gorge, for sure...
