If Santa's Little Helper is supposed to be a greyhound, why is he brown? All racing greyhounds are some shade of grey.

I know several ex-racers. There's one who's white with black spots, and know another who's kind of khaki-colored. BTW Greyhounds are the generally the nicest of all dog breeds. Get one.
I wish. I live in an apartment and I couldn't properly care for a dog that size and with that need for outdoor excercize.

And dogs are a nicer species with than people, so there's another good reason to get one - of course, it kind of sucks if you're the dog, but at least you get fed - even if it is dog food.

And if you want to get one, look for a shelter that takes in retired racers and adopt there.
