Classics

Hi, I know there is gonna be loads of "you missed this episode" or "that episodes much better" but I think this is a good thing cos it gets us talking about Simpsons in a good way again! So, here are the episodes I consider classic (Please note I only have UK terrestrial TV so have not seen a *lot* of new episodes). These are not neccesarily my favourite, but those I think would appear on a "classic Simpsons video":

There are too many. But those days are long gone.

<Separate Vocations>

This episode had one of my favorite gags, which was the milk tanker exploding. I just laugh my ass off thinking about the randomness of it.

Well, after taking some time and thinking about it, I came up with twenty episodes that I would call "classic". Try as I might, I couldn't put anything after Season Four on the list. Some of the episodes from Season Five - Present are good, some have "classic" moments but the overall episode doesn't quite cut it. "Trilogy of Error" and "22 Short Films About Springfield" almost made the list because of their creativity in terms of story telling and timelines but in the end I decided they just don't have the same "quality feel" of the early seasons.

I know they talk about when a show has "jumped the shark". In the Simpson's case, it was more like "got an elephant" that determined when we (OK, OK, I) just knew the show was never going to be as good as it once was.

Anyway, here is my list of "Classic Episodes":
