Previous episode refs. "Bart's Dog Gets an F" -- tonight's episode seemed like a recycled plot of this at times Treehouse of Horror IX -- Regis Philbin appears (who voiced him this time? It clearly wasn't Reege himself, unlike in the THOH.) Hello Gutter, Hello Father -- I was thinking of this episode during Homer's wacky drowning scheme. $pringfield -- Bart runs a high-class establishment

Other references:

"Regis and Kelly" (tv show) "Pyramid" (Donny Osmond version, 2002-) "The Jetsons" -- I was reminded of the episode in which Astro's original owner finds him and tries to reclaim him.

Comments:

The orange reflecting triangles are a cause for some controversy amongst some groups of Amish. Apparently, state laws require that slow-moving vehicles have such a triangle on the back as a safety measure to alert oncoming cars. Some Amish think these orange triangles are overly ostentatious and as such violate their religious sense of simplicity.

Errors:

A minor error, but in the "Pyramid" clip, the shot of the Winners' Circle shows a monitor with the trapezoidal Pyramid logo. If the contestant won the big money in the Winners' Circle, each of the monitors would display the dollar amount of the category which appeared in that monitor. The Pyramid logo is (I believe on every version since the original $10K Pyramid in 1973) used in the Winners' Circle only when a category has not yet been played, or when an illegal clue has been given. Other than that, they did an excellent job getting the set of the Osmond Pyramid correct!

(Sorry, but I'm a fairly rabid game show fan, and the Dick Clark incarnations of Pyramid are IMO among the best game shows of all time, so I'm liable to notice little things like this.)

Another Error:

When the Simpsons are in the living room discussing the contract, you can see two windows, one in the foyer where the front door should be.
